Infant Baptism

Infant Baptism Abigail Turner Jesus commanded his apostles to make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey all his commands.
Jesus also told his disciples to welcome children.

We welcome all requests by parents for their children to be baptised or ‘christened’. We ask you to attend three short sessions of preparation during one of our services so that you can understand what it means to bring children up as part of the Church family, following Jesus’ teaching. We usually conduct baptisms during a main service (9.30am, 11am or 5pm).

For more information you can visit the Church of England Christenings Website to read a guide for parents or godparents, information for your guest and for how to continue your child's journey of faith after baptism

There is no charge for baptism.
